Ahm.

Why is it that when we see someone we aspire to be like or admire, we look for something that we have in common? We look for some kind of qualifier that’ll let us know that ‘ok, they came from that same place I had trouble in, so we’re a lot alike!’ But in the same token, we look for things that happen to drastically separate us in a way? Something tells us that because that person happened to be friends with such and such person, or had this much sitting in the bank their life is completely different from ours, we’re actually nothing alike?
