In a perfect world… I’d be spending a lot of time driving the cars I’ve built and collected. Maybe even a little road racing. I envision that most of this driving would take place in England, Switzerland or Italy, in a British or German car, with one or two friends who also really love driving.
I’d also have gone on the Gumball 3000 rally two or three times with some friends. I’d have a my wife as my copilot and it’d be in my favorite Aston Martin, the V12 Vantage, at least once.
I’d own a condo or two and a log cabin or three.
But that is just MY small world.
Ideally, I’d really love for the education system in this country to be revamped and tailored to how those million of kids actually LEARN. Separating children by age is increasingly ineffective, and more recently, it’s gotten more and more obvious that there should be more substantial ways to group kids in schools. Also, in this perfect world, the old, grumpy, lazy, stubborn, only-there-for-the-check employees that filled school administration would be replaced by young, dedicated and passionate people who devout their lives to seeing children succeed. I’d really love to see a serious investment in education, for the children’s sake. The world we invest in will be what they create for themselves, because we seem to be struggling on holding up our end of the deal. Education is the investment we’ll see the most amazing return on, and I’ll never understand why our government pays so little attention to such an immediately obvious part of society.
