Social media is comfortable for people like me. It’s a bit of a refuge when I only want to interact with people on my terms. I acknowledge that it’s not a replacement for a actual interaction with real live people, as I’ve said before, but it works perfectly when you don’t want to be around the full energies of real people. I think it’s really good for that type of situation.
I don’t dig when people use it as a replacement for real connection. The beauty of people is what’s most human about us.
Our faces and eyes, our voices and laughs, these are all the most amazing parts of us, so while social media has its place, there’s something we should always remember to reconnect with no matter how popular and useful it gets, and that’s just us.
