#AprilWritingChallenge – Day 22 – The last great movie I saw was…

Ok, I’m not big on movies, but the last great movie I saw was Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.

I’m pretty sure it was PG but the action was still completely dope and the story was absolutely perfect. It was long and almost too drawn out as you’re watching it, but you forgive any of the discomfort you have when you reach the end of the movie. It ends in an almost romantic way, with everything working out, which seems weird for Batman because something is always afoot in the city and his personal life. Deep down you wanted it all to happen that way, despite there being so many hints throughout the movie that it wasn’t going to, so when it does, you get particularly excited.

Unrelated to the quality of the movie, Bane had the MOST hilarious voice I’ve heard from an ‘evil villain’ in ages. I don’t think it was actually meant to be that hilarious (I may be crazy), but I also don’t think the creators can deny the hilarity there.

Anyway, it’s a great movie and everyone should go see it and have a giggle at Bane.
