A book that inspired me was The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. It was a book I saw listed on a segment of Oprah’s interview with Jay-Z in her magazine. It’s a book about a guy learning about a series of principles that aren’t exactly religious, but allow a person to live their lives by.
It inspired me in a few ways. First, it showed me that everyone you come in contact with has something to teach you, whether it’s direct or not. It also showed me a way to better interact with people and energy, and utilizing a way of reading people and observing the ways they attempt to gain attention and divert energy towards them.
I came away from the book with the mindset that not only does everything happen for a reason, but everyone you meet is put in front of you for a reason also. You’ve probably heard me say before that you won’t know what those reasons are immediately, but you will know in due time.
The Celestine Prophecy is a book that you must approach with an open mind and heart, but that’s how you should approach everything. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a really good story with meaningful principles embedded in it.
